A smoke shop located in Yonkers at 15 Palisade Avenue was discovered to be selling unlawful products, Yonkers Police announced on Sunday, Feb. 5.

The unlicensed and illegal substances, which were allegedly stored in a hidden room before being sold to the public, included:

  • THC edibles;
  • Vaping products;
  • Cannabis and cannabis oils.

The offending products were confiscated by police, and the business was issued numerous citations.

Police said in a social media post that the bust was an effort to remove quality-of-life issues in the city.

"This is not about going after local businesses," police said, adding, " It is about going after entities that peddle in unlawful substances, potentially dealing with minors, and generate complaints in our neighborhoods."
